Dr. Nichter Helps You Meet Your Goals With Breast Implants

September 9, 2019

If someone asked you to describe yourself physically, what would you say? What would you want to say? You know there’s so much more to yourself than meets the eye. So why waste time being self-conscious about parts of your body if you don’t have to?

You are not alone in feeling self-conscious about your body. In a study published in the May issue of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery®, 86% of women were self-conscious about their breasts. After receiving breast implants, only 13% were self-conscious about them. In fact, 92% of women reported improved self-esteem after breast augmentation, and 64% reported improved quality of life.

Plastic surgery can be life changing for many men and women. Whether you desire a facial change, a full-body procedure, or a breast augmentation, you’re in skilled and expert hands at the Pacific Center for Plastic Surgery in Newport Beach, California. Dr. Larry Nichter recommends breast augmentation to enhance a woman’s breast size and shape due to lack of development, congenital abnormalities, or changes or asymmetries following aging, weight loss, or pregnancy.

Dr. Larry Nichter considers patient education to be one of his highest priorities. He wants each of his patients to be completely informed about all of their options for breast implants, including the risks and benefits associated with each type of implant.

“Choosing implants is a difficult choice and we understand that. We’ve made a pretty simple chart comparing, on one side, silicone gel implants, and saline implants, particularly the IDEAL IMPLANT® Structured Breast Implant, on another. So, for example, incisions are smaller with the IDEAL IMPLANT® Structured Breast Implant. There is less risk of capsular contracture (that’s the hardening of the implant). And less risk of rupture, significantly between the two.” – Dr. Larry Nichter

Selecting a plastic surgeon can be a stressful process for many patients. It’s important that you find a plastic surgeon who is well educated, board-certified, and experienced in the art of plastic surgery. In addition to his medical degree from the Boston University School of Medicine, Dr. Nichter completed several advanced Plastic Surgical Fellowships at the University of Virginia. Over the years, he has trained and mentored countless plastic surgery Residents and Fellows. Dr. Nichter believes patients absolutely have to find out what kind of credentials a surgeon holds before putting your faith in them.

“You have to pick a board-certified plastic surgeon. I work in Newport Beach, Orange County, Southern California. At least half of the breast implants placed in my area are placed by non-board-certified plastic surgeons. Ear, nose, and throat doctors are doing it in this area. OBGYNs are doing it. General surgeons are doing it. They say very truthfully, ‘I am a board-certified surgeon, doing plastic surgery.’ Dermatologists are even starting to do these. A plastic surgeon trains longer than just about every specialty out there, with the exception of a few. Neurosurgery, cardiothoracic surgery. They train about the same length of time. So you really want someone who is skilled with both the anatomy and function and all the potential problems that could go wrong.” – Dr. Larry Nichter

Dr. Nichter strives to help all his patients achieve their individual goals. At each appointment, he takes the time to explain all your options before deciding what’s right for you. Dr. Nichter knows that specific goals vary from patient to patient, and he does everything he can to fulfill them.

“This office has the nicest staff, and Dr. Nichter is very kind and patient explaining all your surgical options. Many plastic surgeons try to rush you through the process, trying to fit as many patients in as possible but that doesn’t happen at this office. I always felt well taken care of and my result is beautiful! I highly recommend Dr. Nichter and his staff!” – Google review from Pamela Reilly

For Dr. Nichter, the safety of his patients is paramount. He is a lead FDA investigator for IDEAL IMPLANT Structured Breast Implants, and has presented reports on the success of this new technology to the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and the American Society of Plastic Surgery. He does not want his patients to have to worry about silent rupture. The IDEAL IMPLANT is a structured implant that is filled with saline to give women a beautiful shape and natural feel, and women can detect a leak just by looking in the mirror.

“Silicone gel implants have a rupture rate that’s pretty high from 9%-24% at ten years. If silicone gel implants are ruptured, it’s not simply removing the silicone gel, you usually have to remove the capsule around the gel, the lining around the gel, called a capsulotomy. And that takes extra time, that can take half an hour to an hour per breast to do that. That’s in comparison to IDEAL IMPLANT Structured Breast Implants where if it leaks, you just simply remove it. The IDEAL IMPLANT is filled with simple saline, the stuff that’s in an IV solution. It’s incredibly safe and so there’s far fewer lifetime surgeries with an IDEAL IMPLANT Structured Breast Implant, compared to traditional silicone gel implants.”

Dr. Nichter stands among the nation’s most experienced IDEAL IMPLANT surgeons, with unsurpassed expertise in helping women achieve the beautiful results they want, without compromising their peace of mind.

Wow! Not only am I thrilled with my results, I also must say that this experience was so much easier than I thought it would be! From the virtual consultation, to the virtual appointments that I had after my surgery… they made it so easy to check in with my doctor. I don’t live in Newport, but it didn’t matter. I was still able to get the surgery that I wanted there! 10/10 would recommend!!
