Laser Hair Removal

During your hair reduction session at BioSpa, your provider will use a laser device that delivers concentrated light beams to the targeted hair follicles. The pigment or melanin in your hair absorbs the heat from the laser, which damages the hair follicles and hair bulbs. This procedure not only removes hair but also delays hair growth. Moreover, your hair usually grows back lighter and thinner after treatment.

To prepare for your hair removal session, we recommend you shave the day before your laser treatment. Before your hair reduction, your provider will clean the treatment areas and apply a numbing cream to ensure your comfort.

Gentlemax Pro®

Candela’s Gentlemax Pro® is a dual wavelength device that uses a powerful 755 nm Alexandrite laser with the 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser to deliver fast and excellent results. This gentle and effective laser can treat several areas of your body and can also treat vascular and pigmented lesions. Additionally, it is safe for all skin types.

Like many other laser hair removal treatments, the hair pigment absorbs the devices’ laser energy, destroying the hair follicles and delaying future growth. The Candela Gentlemax Pro® also uses a patented Dynamic Cooling Device® to cool the treatment areas while the device delivers pulses of heat, maximizing your comfort.

miraSmooth™

miraSmooth™ is an FDA-cleared device that can reduce underarm hair, odor, and excessive sweat. This non-surgical treatment utilizes microwave energy to deliver heat deep within the skin, reaching and destroying the hair roots. It removes around 70% of unwanted underarm hair after only one treatment.

The miraSmooth treatment offers a uniquely “color blind” solution. It is effective at treating hair of any color, including blonde, white, and gray hair. This sets miraSmooth apart from other laser hair removal options. Virtually any skin color and hair color combination can be treated with miraSmooth technology.

With this procedure, you may experience some swelling and soreness. The miraSmooth hair reduction method takes about an hour to complete.
