If you had breast augmentation surgery with silicone implants prior to December 31, 2006, and you would like them removed due to a rupture or other related health problem, you may eligible for up to $5,000 in financial assistance. The Common Benefit Trust has set up a fund for women who are now thought to have a pressing medical and financial need for surgical removal of their silicone implants. If an individual doesn’t have Medicare or health insurance coverage, or the ability to pay for the surgery, help may be available.. Eight requirements must be met to be eligible for assistance.
