Summer is the time for beautiful skin, but with winter approaching in the far distance, you may be starting to think about how dry your skin will soon feel. The way your skin looks is greatly influenced by your genes, but also by your lifestyle. The things you put into your body play an essential role on your outside body as well.

If you want beautiful skin during those upcoming dry months, eat food that are rich in vitamin C, which produces collagen, keeping skin looking clean and young. Oranges, blackcurrants, kiwis, sweet potatoes and other fruits will help you feel and look your best.

Avoiding fat is obvious, but there are plenty of good fats, like fatty acids or omega-3s that are beneficial. Oily fish, such as salmon, and plant oils like linseed or flax can be particularly good for dry skin.

Zinc is an excellent agent in keeping clean skin. Pumpkin seeds, oysters and sardines, as well as fresh tuna and whole-meal bread are also enriched in selenium and can combat acne.

Make sure you flush the toxins out of your body with plenty of water throughout the day.
