Pacific Center for Plastic Surgery is excited to announce they are now carrying Embrace® Advanced Scar Therapy. Embrace® is a new revolutionary treatment aimed at minimizing the visibility of scars.
After having breast augmentation, breast lift, breast reduction, or a tummy tuck, Embrace® can be used to help reduce the appearance of scars. During the normal healing process, daily movement of the body creates tension on the incision, which in turn can result in the scar not healing as well as it may have otherwise without this tension. Embrace® Advanced Scar Therapy offers an innovative approach to dealing with this problem. Neodyne Biosciences, Inc., manufacturers of Embrace®, have created a patented Active Stress-Shield technology which relieves the tension placed on the incision. After wound closure, the use of therapy dressings placed on an incision for approximately 8-12 weeks post-op can significantly decrease the appearance of the scar. “Embrace® is not a lotion or cream, rather a bio-compatible elastic dressing that mechanically and actively relieves and redistributes skin tension caused during the natural healing process.” (www.embracescartherapy.com)
